Ten: Woodbridge and Arthurs crash out of doubles as girls win
ATHENS, Aug 17 AAP - Australian medal contenders Todd Woodbridge and Wayne Arthurs
were bundled out of the men's doubles at the Olympic Tennis Centre tonight.
The second seeds lost their second-round match 7-6 (8-6) 6-3 to Germans Nicolas Kiefer
and Rainer Schuettler.
The defeat left Australia's medal hopes resting with women's singles hopefuls Alicia
Molik and Nicole Pratt and the doubles team of Molik and Stubbs.
Molik and Stubbs are the fourth seeds and made light work of their opening match tonight,
ousting Estonians Maret Ani and Kaia Kanepi 6-4 6-1.
They will play Colombians Fabiola Zuluaga and Catalina Castano tomorrow for a place
in the quarter-finals.
