State Police were continuing their search Thursday for a masked bandit who made off with cash and checks totaling nearly $500

late Wednesday after accosting a Saratoga Mall employee at gunpoint as she was going to deposit store receipts in a bank drop box.

Senior Investigator Joseph Blair said State Police investigators spent much of the day following up possible leads and talking to other mall employees who might have witnessed the robbery, which occurred about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday.

No arrests were reported as of Thursday night.
